Managing Security Profiles in DPos
Effectively managing security profiles in DPos ensures a secure system while optimizing user access. Follow these steps to configure security profiles.
✔ Log in to DPos – Open the application and enter your credentials.
✔ Navigate to the Maintenance Tab – Access the "Security Profiles" section.
✔ Choose a Profile – Select the security profile you want to edit.
✔ Replicate Options – Copy existing settings or restrict specific access.
✔ Assign/Unassign Options – Use arrows to allocate or remove access permissions.
✔ Save Changes – Click "Save" to update the security profile.
Verify the Security Profile

Open the DPos application.
Enter your username and password.
Navigate to the Maintenance tab
From the main menu, find and click on the maintenance tab.
Look for the "Security Profiles" option and select it.
Choose a Profile
Click on the dropdown button.
In the Security Profiles section, find the profile you want to edit.
Note: The left side displays available actions, while the right side shows restricted actions.
To Restrict Access: Select the options from the list that you want to restrict access to this profile.
Assign Options:
Toggle the right arrow to assign a single option.
Toggle the double right arrow to assign all options.
To Re-enable Access
To re-enable access, simply reverse the steps illustrated above.
Replicate Options
Copy the existing Options to the selected profile.
Here are all the available Security Parameters which can be restricted:
- Add Customer Notes: Allow access to add notes to customers' orders.
- Allocate Driver: Allow access to allocate driver functions.
- Apply Discount to Order: Allow access to apply discounts to orders.
- Assign Loyalty Points: Allow access to assign loyalty points via customer maintenance
- Backup/Restore: Allow access to backup and restore data via utilities page.
- Balance Sheet: Allow access to view the balance sheet via utilities page.
- Button Maintenance: Allow access to button maintenance.
- Change a Price: Allow access to change the price of an item via the order screen edit item function.
- Change Driver: Allow access to change the driver for an order (swap drivers)
- Change from a Delivery: Allow access to change an order from pickup to delivery.
- Change from a Shop/Pickup: Allow access to change an order from a shop/pickup.
- Change from a Table: Allow access to change an order from a table to a pickup.
- Change Intervals: Allow access to change intervals for orders via the order-taking screen.
- Change Password: Allow access to change passwords via staff maintenance.
- Change Payment Type: Allow access to change the payment type for orders. (Eg. From Cash to Eftpos)
- Change Security Profiles: Allow access to change security profiles (ONLY Owners should have this setting enabled)
- Change to a Delivery: Allow access to change an order from a pickup to a delivery.
- Change to a Shop/Pickup: Allow access to change an order to a shop/pickup.
- Change to a Table: Allow access to change an order to a table transaction.
- Clear Order: Allow access to clear orders. (remove all line items in the cart)
- Clockings: Allow access to the clock-in and clock-out page.
- Clockings Maintenance: Allow access to edit clock-in data.
- Close Table: Allow access to close tables when paying off a table transaction.
- Cloud Reports: Allow access to login to the cloud reports URL.
- Colour Maintenance: Allow access to colour maintenance for Makescreen.
