How to Use the Deliverit Driver App

The Deliverit Driver App helps streamline your store’s delivery operations, improving coordination between the store, driver, and customer. Follow this guide to get started and manage deliveries effectively.

✅ Step-by-Step Guide

🟩 Install the App

  • Download the Deliverit Driver App from:

    • App Store (iOS)

    • Google Play Store (Android)

🟩 Set Up Driver Credentials in DPOS

  • Go to DPOS > Staff Maintenance

  • For each driver:

    • Assign a username and password

    • Set their Security Profile to Driver

    • Tick App Enabled and Assign Password

🟩 Log In to the App

  • Open the Deliverit Driver App

  • Enter the driver’s username, password, and Store ID

    • Store ID  (Client ID) can be found on your DPOS terminal's main screen

Note for iOS Users:

  • Go to Settings > Deliverit Driver > Location

  • Set to Always for accurate GPS tracking

🟩 Assign Orders to Drivers

  • On your DPOS terminal, open the Delivery Map

  • Select an order

  • Allocate it to a driver

  • Click OK to confirm the assignment

🟩 Start the Delivery

  • The order will appear in the Orders Feed of the app

    • (Swipe down to refresh if needed)

  • Tap Start Delivery

🟩 Live Track Driver using the DPos Display Map Screen

    🟩 Complete the Delivery

    • Tap Arrive in the app when the delivery is complete

    • Customer receives a final notification: “Delivery complete.”

    ⚠️ If a driver forgets to mark the delivery as complete, it will auto-complete when they return to the store.

    ✅ Driver Status Colors on the Delivery Map

    • 🟩 Green – Driver is ready for delivery allocation

    • 🟨 Yellow – Driver is on delivery run

    • 🟥 Red – Driver is returning to the store.

    Install the App     

    • Download and install the Deliverit Driver App from the App Store (iOS)

    Set Up Driver Credentials     

    • Ensure each driver is set up in Maintenance> Staff Maintenance: 
    • Assign a username and password. 
    • Set the security profile to "Driver". 
    • Follow this link for assistance with setting up the Security Profile: Managing Security Profiles in DPos.
    • Tick App Enabled in Staff Maintenance.

    Log In to the App 

    • Open the app and log in using the assigned username and password.

    • Enter your Store ID, found on the main screen of your DPOS terminal.

    Note:

    iOS Users Only

    Go to Settings > Deliverit Driver > Location and set it to Always to ensure accurate tracking. 

    Assign Orders to Drivers 

    You can access the Allocate Driver function in two ways:

    • Through the Order screen via the Driver button

    • 33-1

      From the main screen by selecting the Allocate Driver button

    • Click on the Display Map to view the current delivery address locations.

    • Locate Driver name and allocate delivery.

    • Click OK to confirm the assignment.

    Driver Commences Delivery Run

    • On the driver's app, the order will appear in the Orders Feed. (Swipe down to refresh if needed.)

    • Tap Start Delivery.

    • Driver App will launch navigation to address.

    • On the Display Map screen, the driver icon will move in real time as the delivery is in progress.

    Completion of Delivery
    Once the driver arrives at the delivery address:

    • Tap Arrive in the app to mark the delivery as complete.

    Once completed, the driver will be asked if he needs directions back to the store.

    • When all deliveries in a run are completed, the driver’s tracking marker will turn Red

    Reminder: 

    If a driver forgets to mark the delivery as complete, the order will auto-complete when the driver returns to the store. 

    Driver Status Screen 

    • Click the status button.

    • Green: Driver is ready for delivery allocation.
    • Yellow: Driver is on delivery run.
    • Red: Driver is returning to the store.
