The Apply Specials feature in DPOS allows you to convert items already added to an order into a combo deal,without having to delete and re-enter them. This is especially useful for upselling deals during busy times and avoiding dealys at the counter.
Using "the Apply Specials" function in DPOS
✅ Log in to DPOS with staff credentials
✅ Go to Utilities → click Backup/Restore to create a system backup
✅ Navigate to Maintenance → open Button Maintenance
✅ Ensure the Apply Specials button is enabled
🔄 If not, swap a button, search for Apply Specials, and click Commit and Save
✅ Go to Orders → enter the customer’s order
✅ If items match a known deal, click Apply Specials
✅ Select the correct combo deal from the list (e.g., Single Family Combo 1)
✅ Add any missing items if prompted (e.g., drink or side).

Log in to DPOS
Log in to your DPOS terminal using your staff credentials.
Take a System Backup
Go to the Utilities tab.
Click on the Backup/Restore button.
Enable “Apply Specials” in Button Maintenance
Go to the Maintenance tab.
Click Button Maintenance.
Make sure it is enabled.
- If it's not enabled,
- Click any button to swap it out.

- Use the search bar to find the Apply Specials button.
- Click the commit and save button.
Take the Customer’s Order
Go to the Orders section.
Begin entering the customer's order as usual.
If the order matches a combo deal (e.g., two large pizzas and a drink).
Proceed to the next step.
Apply the Special
Click the Apply Specials button.
A list of eligible deals will appear.
Select the correct deal (e.g., Grande Pizza Meal Deal).
The system will automatically group the matching items into the selected deal.
If required, you’ll be prompted to add any missing items (such as a drink or side) to complete the deal.
Note:
The system cannot select the matching deal automatically, the user must identify the relevant deal to proceed with the conversion.
