How to Set Up a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Deal in Deliverit Studio

Want to boost sales and reward your customers? Setting up a 'Buy One, Get One Free' offer provides one free item with the purchase of a qualifying item. Follow this simple guide to create and activate the deal.

Step-by-Step Guide 

Note: Since only the PLU code is transmitted to the DPos, the deal needs to be created on its own.

Log in to Deliverit Studio 

  • Enter your username and password 
  • Click Log In

Create the Deal Structure 

  • Go to the Menu Manager

  • Choose Deals.

  • Click the + icon beside “Deals” to add a new one

Set Up Deal Details 

  • Choose the Category and Subcategory as Deals 
  • Display Name (name visible to customers on website platforms) 
  • PLU (unique product code) 
  • Print Name (DPos Docket display)
  • Description

  • Click Next

Set Deal Price 

  • Enter 0 as the price (as the deal will auto-calculate value) 
  • Click Next and then Finish

Upload an image. (Optional)

  • Click the Finish button.

Deploy Initial Deal 

  • Click the rocket icon and hit Deploy

Configure Deal Selections 

  • Search and select the deal you just created

  • Click Add Selections.

For each selection group: 
  • Enter a Name (e.g., “1st Large Pizza”) 
  • Add item Options (e.g., Large Pizza) 
  • Repeat the process for adding new selections.
  • Click Save

Please note: If the required menu for the deal selection does not exist, you will need to create one.

  • If you have a Deals Condiments menu set, create a new category within that menu set.

  • If you only have Online Ordering (OO) menu sets available, create the category there and mark it as Hidden so it is not displayed to customers.

Set Buy 1 Get 1 Free Logic 

  • Click the gear icon (⚙️) on the deal

  • Go to the Other Options tab 
  • Tick the box for Buy 1 Get 1 – Greater Price

(This will charge the higher-priced item and give the cheaper one for free) 

  • Click Save

Deploy the Updated Deal 

  • Click the rocket icon again and hit Deploy

Organise the Menu View 

  • Go to the Menus tab.
  • Select your preferred menu.

Enable Deal for Online Ordering.

  • Go to the Deals category
