How to Prioritize Items on Your DPos Docket and Ordering Screen

Optimizing item priorities on your DPos docket and ordering screen helps streamline order processing and improves workflow efficiency. Follow these simple steps to set up item prioritization. Item grouping will simplify order handling. 

Log in to DPos – Enter your credentials and sign in.
Navigate to Maintenance – Go to the Order Item Sub Categories section.
Set Item Priorities – Assign priority numbers in the Print Priority section.
Save Changes – Click the Save button.
Restart DPos – Close and reopen the application to apply changes.

Once completed, items will be displayed in the order you’ve set, ensuring a structured and efficient ordering process.


Log in to DPos
 

Open the DPos application. 

Enter your username and password.

Note: Before making any changes, ensure you create a backup of your system data. This will help prevent data loss and allow you to restore your previous settings if needed.

Navigate to Order Item Settings 

Click on the Maintenance tab from the main menu. 

Select Order Item Sub Categories from the list.

Set Item Priorities 

Find and select the items you want to prioritize. 

In the Print Priority section, assign priority numbers to each category.

For example: If you assign 0 to Pizza,

1 to pasta,

and 2 for drinks.

When a docket is printed it will adhere to the priorities which we have nominated

Pizza – will appear 

Pasta – will appear second

Drinks – will appear last


Print Priority is for the docket,

Display Priority is for the Ordering Screen (Cart)

Save Changes 

Click the Save button to apply the priority settings.

Restart DPos
 

Close and restart the DPos application to ensure the changes take effect. 

Note: Whenever you take an order, the one you have prioritized will appear first, according to the order you have set. This will also appear on the Docket.
