These instructions will guide you through the process of finding sales data for a specific item on your point of sale (DPOS) system.

 

Finding Sales Data for a Specific Item in Your Store Using DPOS
This guide helps you analyze sales performance for a specific item in your store using DPOS. Tracking item sales helps with inventory management, pricing decisions, and identifying popular or underperforming products.

How to Find Sales Data for a Specific Item:

Log into DPOS:
Sign in with your username and password.

Access Reports:
Go to the Reports section from the main menu.

Select Specific Item Report:
Click on Specific Item to begin filtering sales data.

Set Filters:

  • Choose a Date Range.
  • Enter the Item Code or use the search bar to find the item by PLU, Description, Category, or Subcategory.

View Report:
Click Preview to display sales data, including transaction dates, customer details, order numbers, employees, and total sold.

Save or Print Report:
Click Print (top right) to get a physical copy of the report.

This guide ensures you can track item sales efficiently in your store using DPOS.

Steps to Find Sales Data Based on a Specific Item

             Access the DPOS Application: 

Open your DPOS application. 

Enter your username and password to sign in.

             Navigate to Reports: 

From the main menu, locate and click on the “Reports” section.

             Select Specific Item: 

In the Reports section, find and select “Specific Item.”

             Adjust the Filters: 

Set the filters by selecting the desired date range and entering the Item Code for the specific item you want to analyse.

If you are unsure of the code, you can use the search engine to look for the specific item.

You can search for the PLU, Description, Category, and Subcategory by clicking on the column headings

         Preview the Report: 

Click on “Preview” to view the report.

A screen will show the transactions for the item, including the date, time, customer details, order numbers, employee, and total sold.

Note: If the customer field is blank in the report, it refers to customers who have no details attached to the sale, usually in-store sales or table transactions.

 Save/Print Report: If you wish to obtain a physical copy of this report, Select the Print option from the top Right. 

(A Save-to-File option is also available from the previous screen that can be used to store a soft copy of the report on the local computer)
