How to Increase the Display Duration of the DPOS Payments Screen

Keeping the Tender Screen (Payment Screen) visible for a longer duration can give staff more time identify payment details and change amount accurately. Follow this guide to adjust the screen timeout setting.

Step-by-Step Instructions 


Log in to DPOS
 

  • Open the DPOS application. 
  • Use your admin credentials to log in.

Access the Settings Menu 

  • Go to the Maintenance tab. 
  • Click the Settings button to open the global settings menu.

Adjust the Tender Screen Timeout 

  • Use the search bar to find TenderScreenDelay
  • Double-click to open the settings.

Set the Delay Duration 

  • In the Value section, enter the desired duration (e.g., 3 seconds or more) to give staff enough time to disperse the change.

Save Your Changes 

  • Click the Save button to apply the updated setting.

Restart DPOS 

  • Close and restart your DPOS application for the changes to take effect. 

 

Tips: 

  • Setting the delay to 3-5 seconds is typically sufficient for most cash transactions. 
  • Be careful not to set the delay too long, as it may slow down the payment process.
