      How to Create a Public Holiday Code

      Creating a Public Holiday PLU Code helps you apply additional charges during public holidays. This is useful for offsetting increased operational costs and ensuring consistent pricing across platforms.

      How to Create a Public Holiday PLU in Deliverit Studio

      • ✅ Log in to https://my.deliverit.com.au with your DPOS Cloud credentials

      • ✅ Go to Menu Manager > Item tab

      • ✅ Click Add Item (plus icon)

      • ✅ Fill in Item Details:

        • Select a Category (e.g., Surcharges or Public Holiday)

        • Enter an Item Name (e.g., “Public Holiday Surcharge Test”)

        • Add an optional Description

        • Tick the Category box and enter a unique PLU code

      • ✅ Click Next

      • ✅ Set the Price:

        • Choose between $ or %

        • Click Finish

      • ✅ Confirm in the pop-up window

      • ✅ Deploy changes using the rocket icon

      📌 Note: Public Holiday PLUs apply to Online Ordering and DPOS only.

      Step-by-Step Instructions 

      Log in to Deliverit Studio 

      • Enter your DPOS Cloud username and password to log in.

      Open the Item Tab 

      • On the left-hand side menu, click Menu Manager.

      • Then select the Item tab.

      Add a New Item 

      • Click the Add Item button or the plus (+) icon to create a new PLU.

      Fill in Item Details 

      • Category – Select the relevant category for the item, such as Surcharges, Public Holiday. 
      • Item Name – Choose a name like “Public Holiday Surcharge”. 
      • Description – Optional, for internal use. Click next.

      • Tick the box beside the category, and enter a unique PLU code (e.g., PUBHOL1)

      • Click Next to continue.

      Set the Price 

      • Set your desired price.

      • Choose between dollar ($) or percentage (%) pricing, then click Next.

      • Click Finish.

      Note: Public Holiday Surcharge is only available for Online Ordering and DPOS.

      A confirmation pop-up will appear – click Finish again.

      Confirm and Deploy       

      • Go to the rocket icon at the top right of the page.

      • Click Deploy to publish your changes.

      Now the New Public Holiday PLU has been successfully added to the system.
