Adding a New Single Item/Multiple Items to the Touch Menu in DPOS
This guide helps you allocate a single item or multiple items to the Touch Menu in your store using DPOS. Organizing your Touch Menu improves order efficiency, enhances staff workflow, and ensures quick access to popular items.
Log in to DPOS:
- Enter your username and password to access the system.
Adding a Single Item to the Touch Menu
- Navigate to the Maintenance section from the main menu.
- Select Touchscreen Maintenance from the options.
- Toggle to the correct menu where the item needs to go.
- Choose a button number where you want to add the item.
- Click PLU Search (upper right) and find the item.
- Select the item, choose a colour, and click Commit.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Adding Multiple Items to the Touch Menu
- In Touchscreen Maintenance, select Multiple PLU.
- Choose the starting button number for the items.
- Use PLU Search to find and highlight all required items.
- Select a colour for the items and click Commit.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Final Steps
- Exit Touchscreen Maintenance and go to the ordering screen to verify the buttons.
- Restart DPos on all workstations to reflect the new changes.

Before making any changes, create a backup:
Go to Utilities.
Select the Backup/Restore button.
Click Backup.
Go to Maintenance.
Navigate to the "Maintenance" section from the main menu.
Go to Touchscreen Maintenance.
Select "Touchscreen Maintenance" from the options available.
Select the correct menu.
Make sure to toggle to the correct menu where the item needs to go.
Select PLU search.
Choose a number where you want to add the item, and from the upper right, select "PLU search" and find the item you want to add.
Commit the item.
After selecting the item, choose a colour and click on "Commit."
After committing, the item is added to the menu.
Adding Multiple Items
If you need to add multiple items, follow these additional steps:
Select Multiple PLU.
Choose "Multiple PLU" from the options.
Type the starting button number.
Enter the button number where you wish to start the multiple items.
Search and highlight items.
Use the PLU search to find and highlight all the items required.
Commit the items.
Select the colour for the items and click on "Commit."
Then, click the save button.
A prompt will appear saying that the changes have been saved.
Exit Touchscreen Maintenance.
Exit from the touchscreen maintenance and go to the ordering screen to verify the buttons.
Restart DPos on all workstation computers to reflect the new changes.
