How to Add a New Extra / Condiment (PLU Code) in DPOS
Step-by-Step Instructions
✅ Log in to DPOS
Use your credentials to access the system.
✅ Create a Backup
Go to Utilities > Backup/Restore to safeguard your data before changes.
✅ Open Order Items Screen
Navigate to Maintenance > Order Items.
✅ Add a New Item
Click the Add New button.
From the Item Type dropdown, select Condiment.
✅ Set the Price
Enter the price for the condiment.
✅ Activate the Item
Tick the Active checkbox so the item is live on the system.
✅ Save Your Changes
Click Save to complete the setup.

Log in to DPOS
Use your login credentials to access your DPOS system.

Create a Backup
- Navigate to the Utilities section.

- Select Backup to create a backup of your current system data before making changes.

Open the Order Items Screen
From the maintenance tab, go to Order Items.
Add a New Item
- Before continuing, please verify your system's current PLU structure to ensure compatibility.
- Click the Add New button to start creating a new condiment item.

Configure Item Details
- In the item type selection, choose Condiment from the dropdown list.

- Fill in other required fields such as Item Name, Description.
- Select the right category and subcategory.

Activate the Item
Ensure the Active box is ticked so the item appears on your menu.

Save Your Changes
Click Save to finalize and add the new condiment to the system.
