This guide helps you modify control buttons on the order-taking screen in DPOS for a customized workflow.

Access DPos:

Log in using your username and password.

Backup Your Settings:

  • Go to Utilities and select Backup/Restore before making any changes.

Navigate to Button Maintenance:

  • Open the Maintenance tab from the main menu.
  • Select Button Maintenance to access customization options.

Available Button Functions:

Edit Button: Modify the text and change the assigned color.

Move Button: Relocate a button to an empty slot.

Swap Button: Switch the positions of two selected buttons.

Clear Button: Remove the contents of an existing button.

Clear All Button: Delete all buttons on the screen.

Cancel Button: Cancel any current modifications.

Commit Button: Save and confirm all changes.

Undo Changes Button: Revert any modifications made in the current session.

Editing Button Properties:

  • The Edit Button Properties dropdown provides various options that unlock specific functions on the order-taking screen.

Save and Restart DPOS:

  • Click Save to apply changes.

Log in to DPos
 

Begin by logging into your DPos account using your credentials.

Backup: Before making any changes, ensure you back up your current settings. 

Go to Utilities and select the Backup/Restore button.

Once logged in, go to the Maintenance tab located in the main menu then go to the Button Maintenance section.

Edit Button: This allows you to edit the text and change the assigned colour of the button.

Move Button: Enables you to move the button to an empty slot on the screen.

Clear All Button: Clear all the existing Buttons

Cancel Button: Cancels the current actions you have made.

Commit Button: Confirms and saves all the changes you have made. Ensure to click this after making any modifications.

Undo Changes Button: Reverts all the changes you have made during the current session.

Cancel Button: Cancels all the actions made to a particular button.

Edit Button Properties 

Under the Edit Button Properties dropdown, you have a variety of button options which unlock specific functions on your order-taking screen. These options include:

  • Add Note: Allows you to add a note to an order. 
  • Apply Specials: Apply special discounts or offers to an order.
  • Cash Drawer: Opens the cash drawer. 
  • Change Intervals: Adjust the time intervals for instore and website transactions.
  • Clear Order: Clears the current order from the screen. 
  • Delete Item: Removes a single selected item from the order. 
  • Driver: Assigns a driver to a delivery order. 
  • Edit Item: Edit the details of a single item.
  • Exit: Exits the order taking screen. 
  • Extras: Add extra items or edit default toppings of a selected order item. 
  • Ghost Stores: Switch from Primary store to virtual stores when taking instore orders.
  • Half-Half: Enable Half Half function for Pizza Restaurants. 
  • Log In: Log in to the system. 
  • Modify Date: Change the date of an order.  (Future Order)
  • Order Search: Search for a specific order. 
  • Pay Order: Process payment for an order. 
  • Pay Pickup: Process payment for a pickup order. 
  • Quantity: Adjust the quantity of items in an order. 
  • Quick Pay – Cash: Quickly process a cash payment. 
  • Quick Pay – EFTPOS: Quickly process an EFTPOS payment. 
  • Quick Sale: Process a quick sale without detailed order entry. 
  • Save Order: Save the current order. 
  • Scan Barcode: Scan a barcode to add items to an order. 
  • Scan Code: Scan a code for various functions. 
  • Transaction – Delivery: Process a delivery transaction. 
  • Transaction – Dine In: Process a dine-in transaction. 
  • Transaction – Pickup: Process a pickup transaction. 
  • Transaction – Restaurant: Process a restaurant transaction. 
  • Transaction – Shop: Process a shop transaction. 


Save and restart the DPos 

When done, Hit the save button and restart your DPos.
